Ringier creates new company sectors.

Ringier increases its focus on digital business and aligns its organization accordingly. Group CEO Christian Unger is adding two new Group Executive Board positions: a CEO Ringier Digital for digital business and a CEO Ringier Central Europe for business activities in Central and Eastern Europe. The two new members of the Group Executive Board will be appointed and communicated by the end of November.

Ringier is set for strong growth in its digital business over the next five years. In line with the new corporate strategy, Ringier is now realigning its organization to reflect its increased focus on digital and transaction-based business on the Internet. Group CEO Christian Unger is adding a new member of the Group Executive Board for digital business (CEO Ringier Digital). A new company sector for business activities in Central and Eastern Europe will also be created, merging business activities in Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Germany. It will be led by the new CEO Central Europe, who is yet to be determined.

These adjustments in the Group Executive Board were communicated yesterday at the annual meeting of Ringier’s top management in Zurich. The Group Executive Board of Ringier AG headed by Group CEO Christian Unger is made up of Samuel Hügli, CFO, Thomas Trüb, CEO Ringier Asia/New Markets, Marc Walder, CEO Ringier Switzerland, and Marco Castellaneta, CCO. The heads of the two new group divisions, Ringier Central Europe and Ringier Digital, will be appointed and communicated by the end of November.
