Verena Vonarburg Appointed Head of Public Affairs of Ringier Group

Verena Vonarburg, present director of the Association of Swiss Media, is switching to the Ringier media company as of spring 2016. She is taking on the new position Head of Public Affairs of Ringier Group and will report in this position directly to the Group Executive Board of Ringier AG.

Verena Vonarburg studied history, constitutional and international law and political science at the University of Bern. She gained journalistic experience as a reporter and editor of the news magazine 10vor10 for Swiss television and as SRF parliament correspondent. Starting from 2002, she had several positions in journalism, mainly as parliament correspondent, at Tages-Anzeiger and then worked from 2011 to 2014 as senior consultant with focus on policy advice and communication at the Bern public affairs and communications agency Furrer.Hugi & Partner. Ms. Vonarburg has been director of the Association of Swiss Media VSM since March 2014.

In spring 2016, Verena Vonarburg is assuming the position of Head of Public Affairs of Ringier Group and will report directly to Group top management, the Group Executive Board of Ringier AG and Ringier CEO, Marc Walder.
