City Weekend’s famous annual Readers’ Choice Awards occurred on May 22nd. from 7PM-10:30PM. And as usual, it was a resounding success. Around 1,000 of City Weekend’s readers and Shanghai’s food and nightlife gurus made their way into the venue, all awaiting anxiously for the winners to be announced.
This year, we extended the awards ceremony to four cities: Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Guangzhou. In Shanghai, we had an outdoor media sponsor – Bund Star Media featuring this awards ceremony on the Bund for two weeks! In Beijing, the big outdoor Sanlitun LED screen featuring the 16 years of the media excellence.
A huge thanks to City Weekend’s gracious sponsors: Stella Arotis, American Express, FIJI Water. Without their contributions, the event would not have been as successful. Plans are already being made for next year’s event and here’s to hoping that next year will be even more successful!
