Since its launch in 1999, eJobs.ro has been the leader of the Romanian jobs portal market. As per January 2012, eJobs has more than 1.7 million unique visitors per month.
The acquisition is in line with the global strategy of Ringier to grow its digital business, with a special focus on transaction based online revenues.
Ringier will take over 70% of the shares of Ejobs Group S.A. This package consists of the majority of shares currently owned by the two local founders of eJobs, Liviu Dumitrascu and Daniel Tatar, as well as the stake of a financial investor.
After completion of the transaction, the two founders will stay in the company as minority shareholders and will also be further involved as top managers in the eJobs.ro business.
