Ringier takes over eJobs.ro completely

Ringier has now fully acquired the Romanian online employment portal eJobs.ro. This digital acquisition will enable Ringier Romania further to develop its position as one of the country’s leading international media group.

Having already acquired 70 percent of the shares in Ejobs Group S.A. in March 2012, Ringier increased its stake to 100 percent on March 24, 2015, purchasing the shares held by the company’s founders, Liviu Dumitraşcu and Daniel Tătar.
eJobs.ro has been one of the leading Romanian online job portals ever since it was first established in 1999. In February 2015, its website generated more than 3.3 million unique visits.

As Vasiliu Mihnea, General Manager Romania, sees it, “Full acquisition will enable us to strengthen our digital business in Romania further. eJobs.ro is a highly profitable company.”

Thomas Kaiser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of eJobs.ro and Ringier Digital CEO adds, “The classified advertising business is central to Ringier’s digital strategy, so eJobs.ro ideally complements our overall business portfolio.”

Ringier has been doing business in Romania since 1992. Today, Ringier Romania is one of the country’s leading international media groups, employing a staff of more than 350. Ringier’s Romanian subsidiary publishes a total of 22 print titles and operates the most advanced newspaper printing plant in Romania. Thanks to eJobs.rosportnews.ro and online presence of its leading media brands, Ringier Romania is also well positioned in the digital arena.
