RED+ Secures Broadcasting Rights for Swiss Teams’ Matches in the EHF European League

RED+, one of Switzerland's leading sports streaming providers, has secured the broadcasting rights for the home and away matches of Swiss teams in the men's EHF European League starting from the 2025/26 season. This acquisition underscores RED+'s commitment to making top European handball accessible to Swiss handball fans. The first EHF European League matches featuring Swiss teams will be broadcast by RED+ on October 14.

Starting from the 2025/26 season, handball enthusiasts can look forward to all home and away matches of Switzerland’s top teams – including Kadetten Schaffhausen, HC Kriens-Luzern, and BSV Bern – during the group stage and the subsequent main round of the EHF European League. RED+ will broadcast all matches live with its own German commentary. The first matchday featuring Swiss teams on RED+ is October 14, with Kadetten Schaffhausen playing against Abanca Ademar Leon at 6:45 p.m., Rebud KPR Ostrovia Ostrow Wlkp facing BSV Bern, and Elverum Håndball competing against HC Kriens-Luzern, both at 8:45 p.m.

The EHF European League is the second-highest club competition in European handball, just below the EHF Champions League. It provides clubs with a crucial platform to compete internationally and serves as a stepping stone for greater ambitions.

“We are thrilled to include the EHF European League matches featuring Swiss teams in our portfolio and to present these exciting European clashes to Swiss handball fans,” said Alexander Grimm, CEO of RED.Sport Network. “This partnership underscores our commitment to Swiss sports, and particularly to handball.”

Continuous Commitment to Swiss Handball
The RED.Sport Network, through RED+, is also dedicated to supporting Swiss handball. They are advancing the digital strategy in collaboration with the Swiss Handball Federation (SHV) and serve as a live-streaming partner. Thanks to technological innovations, more games than ever before are being broadcast this season, including matches from the QHL, SPL, NLB, as well as elite junior leagues for both girls and boys.

In addition to multi-angle cameras and video replay technology that enhance QHL matches, the clubs involved benefit from a professional analysis tool developed through the collaboration between SHV and RED+. This tool provides players and coaches at all levels with new opportunities to analyze games and continuously improve using this data.

Starting from the 2025/26 season, a so-called “Match of the Week” will take place each round, featuring a studio broadcast and commentary from the Blick studio in Zurich, which will be streamed live on Blick.ch.
