Record Readership – A Quarter Million Readers for Fritz+Fränzi

Bucking the Trend: While many newspapers and magazines are reaching fewer and fewer audiences, the Swiss parenting magazine Fritz+Fränzi continues to grow, recording an unprecedented 250,000 readers per issue in its 24-year history. The broadest readership – the total number of individuals who read at least two issues per year – rose to 589,000 readers. These figures are confirmed by the latest Mach-Basic study, published twice a year by Wemf AG for Advertising Market Research.

With a significant increase of 14,000 readers per issue compared to the survey conducted a year ago, the popular science magazine has achieved its largest growth since its founding in 2001.

Tobias Winterberg, Managing Director of the Elternsein Foundation: “A look back shows that within nine years, the readership of Switzerland’s leading parenting guide has grown by a total of 103,000 people.”

The monthly magazine is thus one of the few print titles in Switzerland that consistently gains readers.

“Readers of Fritz+Fränzi pick up each of the ten issues an average of three times,” quotes Nik Niethammer, Editor-in-Chief, citing the study’s quality indicators, and adds, “The reading time per issue averages 42 minutes, with approximately 80 percent of an issue being read completely.”

The Elternsein Foundation, publisher of the Swiss parenting magazine Fritz+Fränzi, as well as the magazine’s publisher and editorial team, extend their gratitude to the numerous content and advertising partners, freelance authors, and, of course, the readers, for their loyalty, praise, and criticism, which make the magazine what it is: Switzerland’s largest parenting guide, accompanying parents through both good and challenging times.
