A total of 1800 pictures from the Ringier archive and journalistic texts relate the exciting story of Ringier on the new website. Visitors can find all topics relevant to the company depicted in a compelling design concept.
Large-format photos serve as visual anchors, with which the various topics are covered. The search function is also arranged centrally, both in visual and functional respects. A powerful search engine provides comprehensive results arranged according to relevance and combined semantically. However, conventional navigation via sections is still possible on the new Ringier website as previously.
Matthias Graf, Head of Corporation Communications at Ringier, stated: “The rapid development of Ringier presents special challenges for our corporate website. Readers should be able to learn online what distinguishes Ringier as a company today, especially thanks to impressive pictures.. Our completely redesigned Internet presence puts a great deal of value on timeless design, quality contents and an exciting online experience.”
Ringier worked with the Sandbox Network (sandbox-network.com) during the concept phase, the Swiss web design agency Information Architects developed the design, and the web technology service provider Previon belonging to the Ringier Group was responsible for technical implementation. The new Ringier website was created on Drupal, a leading open-source content management system.
The main contents of ringier.com are provided country-overlapping in six languages (E/G/F/HU/RU/CN). The Ringier domains have been completed and are online in Switzerland, Germany, Romania, Hungary and Vietnam in the meantime. The migration of the Chinese domain ringier.cn to the new design is still being processed.
