Marcus Dauck named CIO of Ringier AG

Marcus Dauck, currently Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, was named new CIO of Ringier AG effective 1 January 2014. He will step into Roland Kühne’s position who will become the new Deputy Managing Director of the Blick Group as of 1 September 2013.

Marcus Dauck (41) has served as CIO of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, the joint venture between Ringier AG and Axel Springer AG in central and eastern Europe and headquartered in Zurich, since 2011.
Effective 1 January 2014 Dauck will take over as CIO of Ringier AG, succeeding Roland Kühne who will become Deputy Managing Director of the Blick Group.

Dauck joined Axel Springer IT in 1988, subsequently worked as Management Consultant International Media at Siemens from 2000 to 2003 and returned to Axel Springer AG in 2003 where he held various positions until 2011, including Head of IT Advertising and Marketing Systems and Head of IT Newspaper Systems, Editorial Services and Online/Print Production.

As CIO of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG he is currently responsible for the joint venture’s entire IT environment. As the new CIO of Ringier AG he will report directly to Ringier COO Michael Voss.
