Joachim Aschoff becomes Head of Corporate IT for Ringier

Per 1 May, Joachim Aschoff takes over responsibility for the Corporate IT as new Group CIO - and thus overall responsibility for all Ringier IT activities in Switzerland, as well as heading the group-wide IT Services for Ringier.

Joachim Aschoff (46) takes over as new CIO of the Ringier Group at the beginning of May 2010. In this position, he assumes responsibility as head of the group-wide IT Services, as well as all Ringier IT activities in Switzerland. He reports directly to Chief Financial Officer and Head Corporate Center, Samuel Hügli. Until the end of April, Joachim Aschoff continues his engagement as Head of Global Service Management for Group IT of Zurich Financial Services. Prior to this, Joachim Aschoff held leading positions in companies such as Swissport, Lufthansa and Swissair.

Jochaim Aschoff takes over from Urs Gerhard who, after six years as head of the group-wide IT Services, seeks a new challenge. The Management thanks Urs Gerhard for his commendable work and engagement and wishes him all the best for his personal future.
