David Meier is the new Head of Group Mergers & Acquisitions

David Meier is the new Head of M&A for Ringier. In this role, he has been responsible for the group-wide area of «Mergers & Acquisitions» since the start of the month, supporting the company in its strategic development across a total of 18 countries. Meier was previously with the Coop Group and succeeds Jessica List, who is moving to the new SMG Swiss Marketplace Group as Chief Corporate Officer.

David Meier (39) has joined Ringier as the new Head of M&A. In this role, he is a Member of Ringier AG’s extended Group Executive Board and reports to Group CFO Annabella Bassler. For the past seven years he has worked in an M&A role for the Coop Group, where his achievements included helping to drive the group’s entry into the Austrian and Spanish food service markets. Prior to that he worked at the investment bank Leonardo & Co., where he consulted on both the buyer and seller sides in M&A transactions. Meier has a Master’s degree in Business and Economics with a focus on finance, controlling and banking.

Jessica List, the previous Head of M&A & Strategic Projects at Ringier, is moving to the new SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, the joint venture between TX Group, Ringier, Mobiliar and General Atlantic. As Chief Corporate Officer, she will be responsible for the integration of the newly created company as well as its legal and communications departments and corporate governance starting March 2022.
