The new sector supports strategic and communication processes on group level. The department Group Services, which is concerned with business and strategic development, as well as innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility Management and the department Group Communications, are directly headed by Marco Castellaneta who also maintains his position as Company Speaker. Stefan Hackh, head of the Ringier Communications Switzerland department (as of 1.7) reports directly to Castellaneta. Group HR remains under the leadership of Jean-Luc Mauron.

Castellaneta has been active for Ringier since 1996. Initially in the television sector for the program Marktplatz on SF2, during the development of the channel SAT.1 (Switzerland) as Chief Editor of liveran, and from 2000 as Chief Editor/Presenter of the self-developed consumer magazine konsum.tv broadcasted on SF2. Since 2005 he is responsible as CCO/Head of Group Communications for communications on group level. The native Lucerner commenced his career in journalism as reporter of Lucerne’s latest news and Editor/Moderator for Radio Pilatus.

On completion of a course of studies in journalism and professional Federal PR Exam, Castellaneta went on to achieve a diploma in marketing in a further course of post-graduate studies, Masters Degree in Communication (MScom) at the University of Lugano and Executive MBA in General Management.
