A new magazine for Switzerland: «Interview by Ringier»

On 12 November, Ringier Axel Springer Schweiz AG (RASCH) will launch a new premium magazine. The title – «Interview by Ringier» – says it all: exclusive conversations with impressive personalities. Unscripted, but ready to print. Print only. 148 pages dedicated to Switzerland’s finest minds. With images from internationally renowned photographers.

The top-quality, large-format magazine «Interview by Ringier» will launch on the Swiss market on 12 November – as a gift for the subscribers of Bilanz and Schweizer Illustrierte, as well as a stand-alone publication available at news-stands for anyone seeking inspiration in words and images.

Alexander Theobald, CEO Ringier Axel Springer Schweiz AG: «This new magazine is a labour of love by publisher Michael Ringier, Ringier CEO Marc Walder and myself. Its intentions are twofold: first, there is still plenty of potential for good, innovatively presented print journalism. And second, people are interested in and inspired by intelligent personalities who are given the opportunity and space to express themselves.»

Werner De Schepper, who shares editorial responsibility with Susanne Walder, adds: «The magazine «Interview by Ringier» is a call to quality dialogue – to free speech and debate, wit and joie de vivre.» We find this intimate and open spirit, for example, in the interview that Minister of Culture Alain Berset conducted with the musician Stephan Eicher exclusively for «Interview by Ringier». Another highlight is the encounter between publisher and art collector Michael Ringier with the artist Urs Fischer in his New York studio, photographed by Roe Etheridge.

«Interview by Ringier» contains original voices of all kinds: current, short, long, very long, in writing, face-to-face, on the phone, via WhatsApp and sketched.

Susanne Walder says: «In an age where social media occupies so much space and digitalisation is accelerating everything around us, this commitment to print and depth should strike a chord.»

A magazine featuring important voices in art, culture, science, politics, economics, fashion, music and sport. Interviews with people who make a mark on Switzerland.

The magazine concept and the artistic design of «Interview by Ringier» were devised by internationally renowned creative director Beda Achermann, who developed the design and photographic language exclusively for «Interview by Ringier» and contributed his contacts to the world’s best in art and photography to the realisation of this magazine. «Interview by Ringier» will have a print run of 130,000.
