Ringier China New Appointments

Tim Murray takes up new position as a Director of Ringier Pacific and Kenny Zhou promoted to General Manager of Ringier China. Meanwhile Maggie Chen is promoted to Deputy General Manager of Ringier China.

Tim Murray joined Ringier China in 2001 and has managed the development of Ringier China to a stable, profitable high growth company. In recognition of his contribution Tim has been promoted to the board of Ringier Pacific Ltd the management company for Ringier’s operations in the region. Ringier plans to expand in the region and Tim’s addition to the board will strengthen our regional expansion.

Kenny Zhou joined Ringier China in 2004 as a marketing supervisor and quickly became City Weekend brand manager. After holding several positions in marketing Kenny became the Marketing Director in 2006. In 2009 he was given responsibility for the strategically important New Media Department. His management of new media and marketing has been excellent.

Maggie Chen joined Ringier China in 2004 as Editorial Director. She has been in charge of editorial, design, printing and business development for the company. As Deputy GM, she will also be responsible for government relationship in the future.

Ringier China has grown from a small group of people operating one magazine in Beijing to a staff of 200 people managing multiple publications in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Ringier’s objective has been to develop a strong and stable Chinese management team. This objective is realized with all senior management now being Chinese nationals.

Tim’s role will now be for strategic investment decision making and Kenny will be responsible for the daily management of Ringier China. Kenny will take over as General Manager from 1 March 2010.

With the strong management team and long term commitment to the Asia Pacific region, Ringier will further strengthen its efforts to be a key player in China in helping our existing clients with media solutions and values.
