50 jury members for the Rose d’Or Festival 2012

Lucerne The international jury for the 51st Edition of the Rose d'Or Festival has been selected: 50 experts from the entertainment television industry from 27 countries will come together in Lucerne from 6 to 10 May 2012 to select the winners of the prestigious Golden Rose Awards.

The Rose d’Or Festival competition brings together the best of the year’s entertainment programmes in 13 different categories, including the newly introduced Telenovela, Series, Lifestyle, TV Movie, Children and Youth categories. The submission deadline for the 2012 competition is 31 December 2011.

The Festival Jury this year is truly impressive. The Heads of the 2012 Jury are Shane Allen (Channel 4, UK) for the Comedy and Sitcom categories, Fabrizio Battocchio (RTI, Mediaset Group, Italy) for Game Show, Barbara Uecker (ABC, Australia) for Children and Youth, Karoline Spodsberg (Banijay International, France) for Factual Entertainment, Aurelio Valcárcel (Telemundo Internacional, USA) for Series and Telenovela, Reinhold Elschot (ZDF, Germany) for TV Movie, Toshio Asaoka (NHK Enterprises, Japan) for Arts Documentary & Performing Arts, Roek Lips (Nederlandse Publieke Omroep, Holland) for Live Event Show, Lyne Denault (Canal Vie, Les Chaînes Télé Astral, Canada) for Lifestyle and finally Ricardo Villa (RTVE, Spain) for Multiplatform. The Heads of Jury will be supported by the 40 other jury members, all experts from the international entertainment television industry.

Registration for the Rose d’Or competition 2012 can be completed online for the first time in Rose d’Or history. This allows the international festival jury to access the entries at any time to complete the pre-selection process. The final nominations in the 13 categories will be announced in February 2012.

The 50th anniversary edition of the festival saw record-breaking participation with 460 programmes from 40 countries submitted to the Rose d’Or competition.
