Dale Nottingham to be new managing director at Ringier Vietnam

Dale Nottingham has been appointed as Ringier Vietnam’s new Managing Director. He will assume his duties immediately, succeeding Collin Crowell, who has managed the company since 2009 and is now taking up a new challenge in his native North America.

Nottingham has already worked for Ringier, having held the positions of Sales Director and General Manager for Ringier Vietnam and Ringier China respectively from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, he worked as an Agency Sales Manager for the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday in the UK and as the Advertisement Director of Asiamoney in Hong Kong.
In 2001, Dale Nottingham moved to Thailand, where he established Red Sky Juice & Smoothie Bar, managing four outlets in Bangkok. He also worked as a columnist for the Bangkok Post and as the Features Editor at the Phuket Gazette. In 2009, he emigrated to Spain, where he was employed as the Commercial Director of The Olive Press publishing group. In 2013, he took up the position of Group Publisher at Ink Global in Singapore.
In 2012, Nottingham took a year’s study sabbatical, during which he qualified with a PGCE from the University of Worcester (UK) as a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish).

Of Collin Crowell, Robin Lingg, CEO of Ringier Africa and Asia, commented: “I cannot thank Collin enough for the commitment he has displayed, his professionalism and the successes he has achieved. In a few short years, he has successfully transformed Ringier Vietnam into the modern, highly digitalized and forward-looking enterprise it is today.”

Ringier Vietnam employs some 180 staff and has offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. In addition to its online cookery portal Bepgiadinh.com, the company publishes licensed Vietnamese editions of ELLE magazine, ELLE ManELLE Decoration and Women’s Health. Ringier Vietnam also operates the Muabannhadat.vn online real-estate portal, the Marry.vn wedding platform and Marrybaby.vn, a website devoted to first-time mothers and child care.
