The 14th edition once again focuses on Women in Sports, just ahead of the Olympic Winter Games in Northern Italy in February 2026. While the world will be watching the athletes’ performances with excitement, we aim to strengthen their digital visibility as well: the goal is to highlight the digital underrepresentation of female athletes and help break down bias in an increasingly AI-driven world. Participants can suggest women who do not yet have a Wikipedia entry.
New patron partners are the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW (HGK Basel) and Alliance F, the umbrella association of Swiss women’s organizations, with its project “Helvetia rennt”.
With the involvement of HGK Basel, the city of Basel is added as a new event location. The host will be the Master Studio Design at HGK Basel, with all first-semester Master students in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Scenography taking part.
Since 2020, “Helvetia rennt” has been committed to equality in sports. The project’s mission is to ensure equal representation of women across all areas of Swiss sports – from associations and funding to media coverage.

The event is open to anyone interested in writing and committed to equality. No prior knowledge is required: newcomers will receive an introduction to creating Wikipedia articles in advance and will be supported on site by experienced experts.
