La Mobilière CEO Michèle Rodoni joins Ringier AG’s Board of Directors

At the General Assembly held on 24 March 2022, Ringier shareholders unanimously voted in Michèle Rodoni, CEO of la Mobilière, as a new member of the Ringier AG Board of Directors. She will succeed Markus Hongler, who held a seat on Ringier’s top decision-making committee as the former CEO of la Mobilière, which acquired a 25% share in Ringier AG in February 2020. As a minority shareholder, the insurance company has two seats on Ringier’s Board of Directors. Urs Berger, Chair of the Board at la Mobilière, will retain his position occupying the second la Mobilière seat.

Michèle Rodoni was appointed CEO of the oldest private insurance company in Switzerland in August 2020. Born in Geneva with roots in Ticino, she has been part of the management team at la Mobilière since 2012. She has a successful track record managing the pensions division and was responsible for overseeing the Management market segment, which includes 80 general agencies across Switzerland and roughly 3,000 employees.

Ringier AG’s Board of Directors has nine members in total: Chair of the Board of Directors Michael Ringier, Vice President Uli Sigg, as well as Claudio Cisullo, Lukas Gähwiler, Felix Oberholzer-Gee, Urs Berger, Laura Rudas, Roman Bargezi and Michèle Rodoni.

The Ringier family, together with CEO Marc Walder, holds a 75% majority stake in the Ringier Group.
