Kilian Kämpfen and Manuel Liatowitsch to join the Group Executive Board of Ringier AG

Chief Technology & Data Officer Kilian Kämpfen and Group General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer Manuel Liatowitsch, who will additionally take over the management of the Corporate Center of Ringier AG, are to join the existing five members of Ringier AG’s Group Executive Board. These two appointments underline both the relevance of technology and data and the importance of the Ringier Group’s Corporate Center. The promotions will take effect as of 1 May 2021.

Dr Kilian Kämpfen (54) has been Chief Technology & Data Officer (CTDO) and Head of International Technology & Data Unit at Ringier AG since March 2019. He had been Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at Ringier Digital AG and head of the International Marketplaces Unit since 2013. From 2006, Kämpfen held various leadership roles with the Scout24 Schweiz Group. He will join Ringier AG’s Group Executive Board on 1 May 2021.

Ringier operates three technology hubs for digital media and marketplaces in Poland, South Africa and Switzerland.

Dr Manuel Liatowitsch (49) joined the Ringier Group as Group General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer on 1 October 2020. As of 1 May, Liatowitsch will join the Group Executive Board and additionally take on leadership of the Corporate Center, which comprises the Group divisions Legal, Compliance, HR, Corporate Communications and Data Protection, and the areas of Risk Management and Crisis Management.

Going forward, Ringier AG’s Group Executive Board will be made up of: Marc Walder (CEO), Dr Annabella Bassler (CFO), Ladina Heimgartner (Head of Global Media and CEO of Blick Group), Alexander Theobald (COO of Ringier Switzerland and CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Schweiz AG), Axel Konjack (Head of Global Marketplaces), Dr Kilian Kämpfen (Chief Technology and Data Officer) and Dr Manuel Liatowitsch (Group General Counsel and Head of Corporate Center).
