Expansion of the Advisory Board of the EqualVoice Initiative: Regula Bührer Fecker new member

The Advisory Board of Ringier’s EqualVoice initiative is adding another prestigious member, with Regula Bührer Fecker joining on 1 February 2021. The Zurich-based advertising executive is particularly committed to promoting young women and wrote the book #Frauenarbeit (Women’s Work) on the topic in 2017.

The EqualVoice initiative launched by the Ringier Group is committed to raising the visibility of women in media coverage and giving them an equal voice. The initiative was launched by CFO Annabella Bassler and is overseen by publisher Michael Ringier and CEO Marc Walder.

The Advisory Board of the EqualVoice initiative is now expanding once more to welcome Regula Bührer Fecker, 42, founding partner of the Zurich advertising agency Rod, which has been a part of Farner since 2020. The Zurich-based advertising executive was twice selected as Advertiser of the Year (2010 and 2014). She is the author of the book #Frauenarbeit (Women’s Work), which offers young women concrete tips on successfully asserting themselves in their careers. The mother of two is committed to the promotion of women; she launched the inspirational platform #Frauenarbeit, for which she is highly active on Instagram, and which she uses to put mentors in touch with mentees.

In her agency podcast, she regularly talks to a range of figures from the media and advertising industry. It was in this context that she spoke to Ladina Heimgartner, Head of Global Media at Ringier, late last year; their conversation touched on the EqualVoice initiative, which she had heard about through Annabella Bassler, Ringier CFO. Now, Regula Bührer Fecker herself will be on board in February: «I am committed to ensuring that the contribution of women is more visible in our society. Our media is the key here. That’s why I think EqualVoice is a strong, valuable initiative, and one I want to support as much as I can.»

CFO Annabella Bassler, founder of the initiative, says: «I am glad that we are able to add another prestigious individual to our Advisory Board, and that we have a committed supporter of women on board in Regula Bührer Fecker. It is important that we walk the talk so that our core initiative of raising the visibility of women in the media extends beyond the bounds of the Ringier Group.»

The EqualVoice Advisory Board consists of: Simona Scarpaleggia (global CEO at EDGE, board member at Autogrill and board member at Hornbach), David Allemann (CEO and co-founder of On), Nicole Burth (member of the executive board and head of communication services at Swiss Post), Ingrid Deltenre (media manager and board member), Christiane zu Salm (media entrepreneur and advisor), Franziska Tschudi Sauber (CEO Weidmann Holding AG), Tanja Grandits (Michelin-star chef and awarded “Chef of the Year 2020”), Carolina Müller-Möhl (president of the Müller-Möhl Foundation), Dr. Sabine Keller-Busse (president personal and corporate banking and president UBS Switzerland), Pascale Baeriswyl (diplomat and head of the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations in New York) and Yann Borgstedt (entrepreneur and founder of the Womanity Foundation).
