Patrick Vogt, Chair of the Board of Directors of Energy Schweiz Holding AG: ‘An intensive, externally assisted search process determined that Pascal Frei was the best candidate for the position of CEO of the Energy Group. In him, we have found the ideal leader: he knows the company extremely well thanks to various management roles, and we have every confidence that – even in this challenging time – he will continue to achieve exceptional performance together with the Energy team. I look forward to working with Mr Frei.’

Pascal Frei: ‘I am looking forward to continuing the development of the Energy Group together with my team. I plan to focus on expanding our innovative capacity and the synergies between the radio, event and digital divisions. Coronavirus has had a particularly strong impact on the event sector. However, Energy nonetheless remains one of the best-loved brands in Switzerland. I value the trust that our listeners place in us very highly, and have every confidence that we will succeed in building on it.’

Mr Frei has a Master of Science in Communications Management from the Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano. He has occupied various management roles at the Energy Group Switzerland since 2005 – most recently Chief Marketing Officer and interim CEO. Previously, he gained agency experience as an account executive at Euro RSCG Switzerland and McCann-Erickson in Zurich.

Energy is a leading Swiss entertainment company with activities in radio, events and digital. With around 670,000 listeners daily, Energy is the most successful private radio network in Switzerland on FM and DAB+ as well as the leading Swiss media brand on social media - with up to 93 million contacts, 15 million video views and around 4 million interactions per month.

The Board of Directors and the Energy shareholders congratulate Pascal Frei and wish him every success in his new role.
