Statement regarding data protection
This statement indicates how Ringier AG (referred to below as "Ringier") deals with personal data, which information is gathered and evaluated, for what purposes this information is used, and with whom it is exchanged.
Personal data comprises all the information relating to a specific or specifiable natural person or legal entity. Personal data includes all items of information such as first and family names, title, postal address, email address, telephone number and similar details.
Personal data does not include information which cannot be directly linked to your real identity.
Collecting personal data
Personal data is collected whenever it is necessary for orders, offers or participation in competitions, etc. or in order to meet a contractual or statutory obligation on the part of Ringier.
Non-personal usage data
When you use this Web site, the Web servers register non-personal usage data. The logfiles provide information about your IP address, the last page you visited, the browser that was used, the date, the time and the file that was requested.
Ringier evaluates this non-personal data in order to identify trends, compile statistics and improve its offerings.
Use of personal data
By providing personal data, you indicate your agreement that Ringier can collect your personal data and evaluate it for marketing purposes.
Your personal data may be forwarded within the Ringier Group and used by Ringier to make subsequent contact (especially via email) in order to provide information about products, services and new features.
An explicit written declaration may be made in order to decline contact of this sort either in general, or in respect of a specific product or a specific service.
Your personal data may be passed on to third parties who will process it on behalf of Ringier as its vicarious agents or in order to provide specific services, and data may also be transferred abroad in such cases. It is ensured that a data transfer of this sort is only made to countries which guarantee data protection equivalent to that ensured by Switzerland.
Your personal data will not otherwise be forwarded, transmitted or sold to third parties unless it is necessary to do so in order to execute a contract which you have concluded with Ringier or unless you have given your explicit approval. The foregoing is without prejudice to disclosure of data as stipulated by law, for example in order to track down and uncover illegal activities.
On its Web sites, Ringier uses anonymous cookies (small text files which offer space to store information that is required) in order to optimize performance and to determine how many times pages are called up. These cookies do not contain any personal data whatsoever. Most browsers are set so that they accept cookies automatically. However, you are free to set your browser so that cookies are generally declined. In this case, however, you may not be able to use all the functions on the Web site in full.

By using this Web site, you state that you agree to the processing of the data that is collected regarding you, in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above.
Ringier shall accept no responsibility or liability for any processing of data by the various tool providers.
